When the author of the foremost book on child-rearing made a bold claim, people listened. Dr. Spock, who wrote the second best selling book in the twentieth century, second only to the Bible, said it for all to hear: Children should eat a low-fat, plant-based diet.
His claim was received not without criticism, but mainly to the extent that the lifestyle must be done properly. And when it is, kids and adults alike will thrive, circumventing common diseases that plague Americans.
